United Nations and group "Doctors without scopes" declared the halt of the activity in Chechneya on considering safety. Meantime the European commission demanded from all nongovernmental organizations, financed EU, also temporally to shut down in this republic.
Besides "Doctors without scopes", under the aegis of EU in Chechnya work: International Committee of Red Cross, Commissariat in Matters of Refugees, Council in Matters of Refugees of Denmark, Spanish International Committee of Rescue and "Action Against Hunger". Information for a past year is not present, but it is known that for 1999 a humanitarian help Chechnya, acting from the European commission, made 25 million dollars.
